SUNRISE IMAGING INC SIGNS KGS MICROSYSTEMS AS SUNRISE INDIA SALES AND SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE
Santa Ana, CA, September 15, 2013 - Santa Ana, CA, September 15, 2013 - SunRise Imaging, Inc., the leader in high-performance microfilm-scanning products used to convert rollfilm, microfiche and aperture cards to digital format, announced today that KGS Microsystems, headquartered in Mumbai, India will be selling Sunrise Imaging Inc Scanners and Servicing .
KGS Microsystems technical expertise and SunRise's high performance scanning products offers customers the flexibility to deliver superior image quality for more film formats.
"KGS Microsystems has extensive background in microfilm going back to the days when Kodak dominated the film market, in fact they still are a Kodak India National Distributor." said, Dennis Childs, President, SunRise Imaging. Recently we had great success with a Sunrise Apollo system scanning newspaper film in roll format at 400 dpi, we cleaned, cropped and OCR'd the images and provided Article level news clips with index search by article ( using METS/Alto conversion ). Big libraries, publishing houses, require these services and its a revenue model for them, images are uploaded to their server and are available for researchers, students, and journalist for a fee.
