In keeping with it tradition since 1991, SunRise continues to lead the microfilm industry with new technology. SunRise Imaging 3-in-1 scanners, Apollo and Apollo HS, include ScanFlo Premier our powerful new application, and ScanFlo Professional our classic scan application that SunRise users are familiar with. Both take advantage of the new features in scanner hardware and Windows operating system.
Apollo runs on Microsoft® Windows® 10 Professional operating system. The new Premier graphic display interface is easier to use than ever before. The microfilm screen views are larger taking advantage of the 1920 x 1080 resolution available on today's big 24" screens.
The SunRise 3-in-1 scanning system consists of a Base Unit which includes: computer, software, scanner controls, camera and light source, and a Rollfilm, Fiche or Autofeeding Aperture card Module to transport the film for the type of microfilm to be scanned. Modular design lowers cost, and preserves your investment over time. We offer upgrades from older base models to Apollo.

ScanFlo Professional is the classic SunRise user interface, familiar to SunRise customers since late 1990's.
Scanflo Professional gives the SunRise 3-in-1 microfilm scanners have a powerful feature set: Grayscale, and Bitonal scan mode, image Crop, Deskew, Adaptive thresholding, Image filters, Gamma Correction, Automatic File Naming and much more. Scanflo is highly priced by SunRise's loyal customer base.
Scanflo Professional was developed to use the features in Windows NT, and has grown with each new generation of Windows. The operator uses the main screen menu to access custom dialogs for each process step: batch scan, naming, film setup, image processing, and file processing. Some of the dialogs are customized for each film type.
The dialogs provide the means to automatically scan simple or complex films.
Grayscale scanning | 4, 8 bit and 12 bit grayscale pixels |
Imaging processing | Bi-tonal, fixed or adaptive thresholding, Enhance edges with filters |
Page processing | Divide areas in segmented frames into separate pages, mirror, rotate, invert, crop, deskew, Blip detection |
Special features | Blipped Rollfilm – option to skip blank pages Fiche – apply four or more different image processing options on same fiche |
Display | 1280 x 1024 to 1920 x 1080 monitor size, and larger |
Digitized data stream | Simultaneous bi-tonal and 8-bit grayscale with different naming options |
Multi-page files | Create output files with all pages scanned in one file |
File formats | Tiff, JPEG, PDF and more |
Crop & deskew | Crop and save, with or without deskewing |
Scan settings | Parameter used to make the scan are automatically saved |
Graphical User interface | Two modes: Professional and Premier |
Build in Help | Extensive context sensitive Help available |
No need to Re scan | Real time image processing eliminates the need to rescan to see the changes. |
Ease of use | Scanflo handles the details for Image segmentation, Image clean up, Automatic Naming of output files. |

ScanFlo Premier is the completely redesigned SunRise user interface, simplifying operating the SunRise Scanners.
Scanflo Premier gives the SunRise 3-in-1 microfilm scanners an even more powerful feature set: Grayscale, and Bitonal scan mode, image Crop, Deskew, Adaptive thresholding, Image filters, Gamma Correction, Automatic File Naming and much more.
Scanflo Premier was developed to use the features in Windows 10, and is well suited to be adapted to the next generation of Windows. The operator uses a single main dialog menu with tabs for each of the major scanner setup steps. batch film setup, naming, file type, camera, module setup, image processing, page processing, and batch scan. The camera and module tabs are customized for the film type.
Premier provides the means to automatically scan simple or complex films.
